Gary Burns (Updated Wednesday)

During the Berriew V Mold Alex game Gary Burns suffered a terrible injury.
He was taken to Shrewsbury hospital.
He has suffered a broken leg in 4 places.
On Saturday the hospital tried twice to reset the leg without success.
This meant the first operation on Sunday morning.
I will update the website with news as it arrives.
Best wishes to Gary from everyone at Mold.
Update - Sunday 7th March.
Gary had an operation on Sunday afternoon when a steel pin was inserted.
He may need a second op on Tuesday.
Gary is more comfortable this evening after the stress of Saturday evening.

A raffle was held at Alyn Park during last nights Mold V Buckley fixture.
With sales and donations from Pete Guy,Mark and Dennis Parry and the Buckley players the sum raised was just short of £100 which has been rounded up by Mold Alex.
Raffle prizes were donated by Gary Austin,Mold vice chairman,the family of Terry Pugh(mold alex)and the family of Sam Roberts(buckley town) along with the Buckley chairman who donated his prize back to be raffled at our next game.

I was not going to put this write-up together but Gary asked me too, so here it is rather rushed last night, not sure what time Dave Bryan scored so I put it as in the last minutes of the game.

This game was marred by the broken leg of Mold Alexandra right-back Gary Burns in the 60th minute, it has since been confirmed that Gary broke his leg in 4 place’s.
