Name : Daniel Seamarks
Position at Club: First team Manager
Date of Birth: 02/05/69
Occupation: Primary School Teacher
Previous Clubs: New Brighton, Holywell, Llandudno and Rhydymwyn
Years at the Alex: 7
The years of silly tackles and 100% commitment have finally caught up with me. After having surgery on every limb on my body, competitive football appears to be a thing of the past. 2 Welsh trophies, a Cymru Alliance Champions holder and a 20 year old Sunday League goal scoring record are some of the accolades picked up along the way. Through the years I’ve played in every single position on the pitch including in goal. I’ve also enjoyed my time as a coach at the Academy at Wrexham F.C.
Name : Andy Crabtree
Position at Club: First team Assistant Manager
Date of Birth: 18/07/60
Occupation: Green Keeper
Previous Clubs: 22 Eng Regiment, Mold Alex
Years at the Alex: Loads on and off
I’ve known Andy for around 20 years now as I used to spend my Sunday mornings running around on Victoria Road playing for the Vic. Still an active coach, working at Airbus’ Academy. A similar player to myself with a no nonsense approach to his play. Has spent many a year down at the Alex in various roles. He’s been invaluable to me since I took over. His knowledge of opposition players, understanding of coaching and his ability to step in and take control when I’m just about to loose it have been a great help. He also takes a lot of pride in his blossoming 1 pack.
Name : Ryan Roberts
Position at Club: Goal Keeper
Date of Birth: 15/4/85
Occupation: building maintance
Previous Clubs: Mynydd Isa & Bangor
Years at the Alex: 1
Ryan is a local lad who has played at this level of football for a few years now. He came to us towards the end of the season and ended up playing about the last 10 games of the season due to James getting injured. He’s started the new season in good form. Ryan is probably best known for his ridiculous car a red Vauxhall Tigra that he continues to take to most games either home or away.
Name : James Collins
Position at Club: Goalkeeper
Date of Birth: 30/05/87
Occupation: Student
Previous Clubs: Vauxhall FC, West Kirby FC and Tranmere Rovers FC
Years at the Alex: 1
Now in his second season this goalkeeper has a big presence within his box. Talks a good game and appears to have a safe pair of hands (on occasions). He will be trying to re-establish himself at the club this year where competition for places is high in goal, after missing the final games of last season. Would benefit from losing the ear-ring and not being so hard on himself. James is starting to gain a bit of a reputation from one who likes to chat and also finds it difficult to put his hands in his pockets once he reaches the pub.
Name : Chris Guy

Chris will be starting his third season at the Alex and in the past has had spells with the first team. Chris is also comfortable playing up front where he made a name for himself scoring plenty of goals for the reserves in the early part of last season. On my appointment to the first team I instantly called Chris up to the first team where he has been a huge hit. His pace, commitment and fitness have been of great benefit to the team, although he seems to be getting a little chubby. Unfortunately he is still trying to find his sense of humour and is quickly get the nickname of “Grumpy” at the club.
Name : Brett Jones
Position at Club: Right Back
Date of Birth: 17/09/76
Occupation: Production Shift Manager
Previous Clubs: Mynydd Isa, Holywell and Rhyl
Years at the Alex: 1
A no nonsense defender who is in his first season at the club. Played his football last year at Mynydd Isa. Brett always gives his all during games and his effort and commitment is up there with the best in the Club. Possesses a handy long throw and will often be seen going on overlapping runs down the wing. Seems to not be bothered if he clatters into everyone on the pitch. Also likes to have a good moan at the officials for nothing in particular.
Name : Dave Bryan
Position at Club: Full Back / Centre Half
Date of Birth: 15/04/88
Occupation: Banking Assistant
Previous Clubs: Mynydd Isa and Rhydymwyn
Years at the Alex: 2
Dave had been playing his football for our reserves when I became manager. He had an opportunity to join the first team due to other injuries and holidays and he took his chance very well. Became a regular feature during the second half of the season with lots of solid performances. Dave is able to play in a number of positions and being young and local he’s a great asset to the squad. His role at the club has changed this season and again he has taken his chance extremely well.
Name : Craig Roberts
Position at Club: Centre Half
Date of Birth: 11/07/79
Occupation: Cowboy Builder
Previous Clubs: Rhydymwyn, Halkyn and Aukland Panthers
Years at the Alex: 2
Came to the club shortly after my appointment last year from rivals Rhydymwyn. Made an instant impact at the club with his antics on the lads Christmas night out. Shortly after gained a regular slot in the back 4 with commanding displays. Craig is very good in the air but equally comfortable passing. Has always chipped in with some quality goals and after the disappointments of last seasons on-off season he will be hoping for a more settled season.
Name : Sam Roberts

Position at Club: Centre Half

Sam, not related to Craig, has all the attributes to go a long way in the Welsh Pyramid. He’s very strong, tall and committed with excellent pace. He has made great improvements to his game since joining the Alex and can now nearly head and kick a ball in a straight line. Sam is now classed as a regular in the Mold Alex team who needs to just now work on his hair style. We managed to keep him at the club this season despite an attempt from local rivals Buckley flashing the cash.
Name : Chris Marland
Position at Club: Defender
Date of Birth: 9/11/80
Occupation: Sales Manager
Previous Clubs: UWIC, Neath and Sealand
Years at the Alex: 2
Chris made a successful return to football after a long period out recovering from a cruciate knee operation. Chris is a hard tackling uncompromising centre half who is good in the air and able to play a simple pass. Chris has established himself in the first team squad and his claim to fame was that he went the whole of last season without getting booked, how he managed that I’m not sure. He’s already been booked this season which in my eyes has been a long time coming.
Name : Wayne Craig
Position at Club: Captain/ Centre Midfield
Date of Birth: 19/05/82
Occupation: Process Worker at Toyota
Previous Clubs: Connahs Quay Nomads, Sealand Leisure and Flint
Years at the Alex: 4
Another player at the Alex whose commitment and effort should never be questioned. Wayne is hard into the tackle and competitive at all times. He missed the latter end of last season due to work commitments but that has now been sorted out, so hopefully we’ll see him back fit and healthy soon. It’s obvious to see his hunger to win. He has built up a great relationship with his fellow centre midfielder Gary Burns where their little and large ethics have worked well. Wayne’s only downfall is that he now lives in Flint.
Name : Michael Roberts (Badger)
Position at Club: Centre Midfield/ Utility
Date of Birth: 20/08/81
Occupation: Chief Projectionist
Previous Clubs: Sychdyn, Rhydymwyn
Years at the Alex: 2
Michael is the better looking and younger Brother to Craig. Michael is another success story for the Mold Alex scouting system. Another player who came to the club from Rhydymwyn soon after my appointment. Michael impressed straight away with his intelligent passing and neat ball skills. He also became a hit with the lads after showing off his silky dance skills at the Christmas night out. He has played in numerous positions during last year’s campaign. I’m still trying to find out why he holds the nickname of Badger as he doesn’t smell and I’ve never found him laying on his back on the side of the road in the morning.
Name : Terry Pughe
Position at Club: Wide Midfield
Date of Birth: 01/06/88
Occupation: Joiner
Previous Clubs: None
Years at the Alex: 5
Another local lad who is younger than my goal scoring record. Terry is a very talented youngster who is capable of playing on either wing or even upfront. Terry has good pace and very good close control. He is developing as a player and will be a handful for defenders and opponents alike this season. Terry has likened his football career in the past to that of the Great George Best who was well known for his drinking, womanising and poor attendance at training. Since that comment Terry has changed his ways and no longer bothers to drink with the lads after the game and has settled down comprehensively with a young lady. Unfortunately he has kept some of his George Best attributes and still skips training and can be seen driving his love machine towards Leeswood.
Name : Darren Pritchard

Position at Club: Right / Centre Midfield
Date of Birth: 08/07/76
Occupation: Joiner
Previous Clubs: Llangefni, Glantraeth, Bangor City, Rhyl, Colwyn Bay and Fflint Town
Years at the Alex: 5
Player Sponsor:
Vastly experienced player at this standard who has spent a lot of his career playing on the Island. Can be a match winner in a blink of an eye with his delicate passes and superb vision. Darren can play anywhere in midfield but now generally finds himself out on the right. Darren is also well known for his ability to tag on to anyone’s stag nights and will often be seen on the continent during match days.
Name : Gary Burns
Position at Club: Centre Midfield
Date of Birth: 27/06/87
Occupation: FLT Driver
Previous Clubs: Mallaby, Flint and Burnley
Years at the Alex: 5
Gary is our long distance traveller, living out on the Wirral. He’s been a huge hit with the lads and will always give his all to the club. Playing in Centre Midfield he is able to chip in with a high percentage of goals. Tall, Fit, hard in the tackle and one for the ladies its easy to see why he got Managers player of the Year the season before last. Hopefully he’ll be able to keep up this level of performance.
Name : Dave Gleave
Position at Club: Left / Right Midfield
Date of Birth: 21/08/86
Occupation: Banking Assistant
Previous Clubs: Sealand Leisure, Rhydymwyn, Mynydd Isa and Welshpool Town
Years at the Alex: 1
Dave had a very good first season at the club and he settled down really quickly. He predominantly played on the left side of midfield throughout last season until getting injured and missing some games towards the end of the season. After the season before lasts Achilles injury dave is this season returning from Knee surgery. Dave is a quick thinker who has pace and good vision. Will probably be just as well suited to playing on the right wing.
Name : Dave Pitson
Position at Club: Forward
Date of Birth: 27/01/80
Occupation: Railway Engineer
Previous Clubs: Rhydymwyn, Brymbo, Flint and Mold Town
Years at the Alex: 9
One of the few players who has been at the club longer than me. Dave Pitson is a hugely under rated player who holds the ball up better than anyone else I know in local football. Dave seems to get pleasure out of being kicked. Dave is one of the few members of the squad who is on the wrong side of 30 and even though he’s had grey hair since the age of 20 fell foul to the fines committee last year by trying to dye his hair black. Last year Dave was the Mangers Player of the Year
Name : Owain Roberts
Position at Club: Forward
Date of Birth: 20/01/90
Occupation: Secret Agent
Previous Clubs: Halkyn, Mynydd Isa, Holywell, Ruthin, Rosies, Tivoli Ballrooms and Buckley
Years at the Alex: 2
Owain takes a great deal of pride in his football. I don’t know of anyone else who gives themselves such a hard time over their own performances. A very mobile striker who has a great touch and good close control. He is able to link the play up well and is an all round good striker. Owain would happily admit to not scoring enough goals but during this pre season he looked very sharp and was scoring for fun before the dreaded hamstring went twang again. Hopefully he will be able to stay fit to give himself the opportunity to have a good run in the side.
Name : Graham Randles
Position at Club: Forward
Date of Birth: 29/9/77
Occupation:
Previous Clubs: Caersws, Flint and Buckley
Years at the Alex: first season.
I’ve known Graham for a long time on the football pitch and he has been a proven goal scorer at this level and above for over 10 years. Graham is very good in the air but for a tall player he’s equally happy with the ball at his feet. Another surprise inclusion to the Mold Alex squad this year, where the main criteria is to play and enjoy your football. Graham will chip in with a fair share of goals this year if I can get him playing regularly.
Name : Simon Holloway

Position at Club: Forward
Date of Birth: 13/11/86
Occupation: Tiler
Previous Clubs: Holywell
Years at the Alex: first season
Player Sponsors:
Mrs C. Hughes
I’d heard about Simon last year and was told to go and have a look at him. I wasn’t able to, but he gave me a phone call during pre season this year and said that he wanted to come down. Apart from the fact that he’s 5 foot 1 he is a very capable player. He works very hard and is very neat on the ball. He’s already scored some important goals and will be asset to the club.
Name : Jamie Crowther
Position at Club: Midfield / Centre half /right back
Date of Birth: 10/2/92
Occupation: Student
Previous Clubs: Holywell
Years at the Alex: first season
Another great catch, he came down training with Terry Pughe and you could obviously see that he could play a bit. Even without his Wrexham FC training Kit on. Ummd and Arrd about whether to sign for Mold or to head down to Buckley with the other 50. Eventually he saw sense and decided to sign for Mold. He’s played in the middle of midfield, centre half and on the right of midfield but says he would also be able to play right back. He’s come to a Cymru Alliance team looking to break into the Wales under 18’s squad.
Name : Rory Colman
Position at Club: Centre/Right Midfield
Date of Birth: 7/10/83
Occupation: McDonald’s
Previous Clubs: None
Years at the Alex: first season
I first met Rory during the middle of last year when he was playing Monday night football with a group of his and my mates. Seemed to be a very handy lad. Very strong, powerful and determined player. He’s only had limited chances but is developing. He’s never played for a team before and is learning a lot about the tactical side of things. Hopefully he’ll have something to offer during the season.
Name : Richie Dermott

Position at Club: Centre midfield
Date of Birth: 10/4/79
Occupation: Toyota Production control
Previous Clubs: Myndd Isa, Buckley
Years at the Alex: first season
Player Sponsor:
Another player who was supposed to be on his way down last year. He’s played at this level of football in the past and done extremely well. He’s a good ball winning centre midfield who is fearless and good in the air. He will have a big part to play this season. After getting really excited about the prospect of playing this year he’s got himself injured and is gutted that he’s missing out.
Name : Steve Hughes
Position at Club: Centre midfield
Date of Birth: 31/7/78
Occupation: RAF test pilot / Chemical Engineer
Previous Clubs: Caersws and Flint
Years at the Alex: first season
He’s just had a season in the Welsh Premier at Caersws, but wanted to just play football and avoid the travelling. He looked really good in the pre-season friendly at Holywell during the warm up before he went over on his ankle and couldn’t play. He’s been out since then and is also very frustrated. He’ll also be one to watch when he’s fit. A big strong commanding defender, who will be a great asset to the club in the coming months.
Name : Joe Brizell
Position at Club: Centre/Right Midfield
Date of Birth: 14/7/85
Occupation: Support Worker
Previous Clubs: Nelson FC
Years at the Alex: first season
Joe unbelievably may be even smaller than Simon Holloway. He’s played in the past for Accrington Stanley and Nelson. He’s very good on the ball with excellent touch and vision. He’s also had a season of disappointment after being injured for most of it and is just hoping to get some games and get fit. He must be full on enthusiasm travelling all the way from Liverpool to play for us.
