Don't wish to clog up the website with history of Mold but as it is New Years day i thought that the game Mold played on this day in 1938 would be of intrest, this report like the previous two have been written by myself from information gained in my research into Mold's past.
Bromborough Port FC should not be confused with the other side Bromborough Pool who folded in the 1990's.

Tranmere Rovers ‘A’ were lucky to take a share of the points against a Mold Alexandra side, that had practically ran the game from start to finish, however Rovers had equalised with a last minute strike from C.Walton who had been playing in the unusual role of right half-back.

Not the result Mold where expecting but one which will certainly upset the faithful, Bala Town had lead at the interval 2-0, but no one could have foreseen the second-half onslaught as the visitors rattled in 8 goals without reply.
Despite the high scoring by the Welsh Premier side Bala Town, Mold could take some pride from the fact that they never stopped trying to play football, ok the home side had several players missing but still should have done better than they had.
